Spring has sprung and that means that PokerStar new tournament series is in full swing. The new Spring Championship of Internet Poker has begun and on the first day players were able to compete in event #1 with three different levels so players with different size bank rolls could participate. In event #1 41,916 players competed in the three levels of game play.
The lowest level had a buy-in of $5.50 with rebuys and six players were able to compete at each table of the no limit hold’em event. 27,134 players competed in this event and 45,438 rebuys and 14,434 additions were paid to change the $50,000 guaranteed prize pool to $435,030. Online Eetu100 did not have the chip lead going into final table play but he was able to gain more chips and take the win.

The middle tier had a buy-in of $55 and saw 4,057 players who bought 6,009 rebuys and 2,761 add-ons. The players increased the buy-in from a $200,000 guarantee to $641,350. westmeloAA was able to hold off the field and take the almost $100,000 win for the $55 buy-in tier.

The largest tier of event #1 had a buy-in of $530. The poker tournament prize pool was guaranteed for $500,000 but in the end the prize pool had increased to $1,109,500. 672 players participated with 983 rebuys and 564 add-ons. BongBob stayed strong during the twenty hour tournament to take the top prize of almost $200,000.
